Yes, I can pronounce this word, it took a week of saying it as much as possible every night and I won a class competition for learning it first, and therefore won lunch :aww:

This turned out pretty good. The color is a nice choice with the "faded paper" looking background, and the fading of the font itself also is appealing.

Very, very cool. I really like the worn, warm colors (I have this thing for cremes right now) and the texture. This is just dead stylish. :)

Also, that just might be the coolest name in the world! I think the fact that it's "nonsense" to my eyes makes it even easier to appreciate the typography, if that makes sense. I get to look more at the colors and the shapes, rather than the meaning.

Give me cream over white anyday! It has a subtle way of complementing colours in a gentle way white cannot achieve alone.

I'm glad that you are able to look more at the colours and shapes, I think that was more the point in this exercise, since most people would have no idea of the meaning, since really it is a lot of words run into one and it's also in Maori, which is almost a dying language. I initially just wanted to lay the type out, but then I concentrated on the shapes, extending terminals, ascenders and descenders, making it a more... in depth composition, with all the interesting counter forms.

The fading of the font was completely unintentional, just a flaw/component of the stock paper I used in this case, but it really has come into its own :)

yea Whanganui is actually pretty sweet, the maya tutor is a god and im finally learning something i want to ( he wants me to apply to weta at the end of the year. And yea im definitely coming to graduation
